It shouldn't be considered a reimagining or a retelling it's a fanfiction that completely butchers the characterization of the gods and does nothing to build upon the complex themes that are already found in Greek mythology. Lore Olympus wouldn't be able to stand on it's own without it's eye straining color palettes of the characters or the names of the Greek gods associated with them. From getting what kind of nymph that multiple characters are wrong to her misinterpretation of Leuce's character to fit her own twisted narrative, Rachel has really failed as a "folklorist". With each new episode I find it rather hard to believe that Rachel actually respects Greek mythology. the fast pass preview of pitting women against each other did not entice me at all. I didn't read the fast pass episode last week like I usually do.
